History

SC "Actas" is the only producer of natural vinegar in Lithuania. The firm started to produce natural spirit vinegar in 1959. Vinegar is produced by tiny organisms called acetic acid bacteria. These bacteria absorb oxygen and ferment ethyl alcohol into vinegar in fermentation vats filled with beechwood shavings.

In 1996 the product range of the company was expanded and extra staff was recruited. We began to produce natural spirit vinegar with condiments, natural apple vinegar, natural wine vinegar and marinade.

In 1998 the company introduced a new product line of mayonnaise and sauces. Our experienced food industry specialists are continually improving the quality of our products and their taste properties, as well as expanding our range of products.

In 2009, with the assistance of financing from the EU Structural Funds, a new automated production line was installed at the company for bottling vinegar. This ensures the high quality of the products, their appearance and a lower production cost per unit. Labelling of the products is done with adhesive labels of a modern design.

In 2010 the company installed a fruit drink production line.

As well as vinegar, the company also produces tomato sauces, ketchups, mustards, preserved vegetables, artificial honey, syrups and soft drinks. Our company's products are known for their high quality. We only use raw materials that meet all the quality requirements.
